6:30 pm ET April 18th 2024: Good evening from an East Coast Starbucks! I have been going to a particular Starbucks for a couple years now and have built rapport with the Starbucks workers and chat with them for hours. I notice that they get stressed easily when it gets busy with non-stop cars coming through the drive-thru. Today I decided to do something about it. When I heard one of my favorite Starbucks workers complain about how it was busy, I said “listen, take a deep breath, and repeat after me, ‘it is not busy in my reality.’” She took a deep breath and repeated "it is not busy in my reality" and then after the last car after a series of cars left, only one car came through the drive-thru within a 20-minute period with no customers coming in the cafe.
Thoughts are powerful and we make our own reality. We are the creators of reality.
