Discrimination of Pneuma
Ignorance judges the external, while apathy scorns the internal. What has been throughout time is - to say the least - the prejudice against someone’s external characteristics, such as: race, sex and gender, role, sexual orientation, religion, zodiac sign, language, etc. What is not realized by ignorance is apathy. While prejudice focuses on the outside, it also falls into discrimination towards the inner self or soul. What is missing in society is the awareness of what has been and is truly happening. What I have come to realize through my thick-headed, mucky self-deceit is according to a situation at work specifically, I have come to hate another person for their personality, spirit, pneuma, or soul. On the outside, it looks like I’m prejudice against her nationality, sex, and role as a manager. However, what is slightly more deep is the immature characteristics she possesses which conflict my own immature elements. What is even deeper is my inner child is conflicted with my discontent of authority and her matching qualities of my step father. Nevertheless, what is absolutely and undeniably going on is that I abhor her spirit. This fact brings up issues and forces. One, there are stereotypes and/or biases of the soul, but they are unheard of and unseen by perceived external features. Two, liabilities, immature, or unhealed markers conflict with each other, no matter the person or people involved. Three, in terms of how we are all connected, the most slightest and outrageous things on the outside and inside constitute of similarities which can be close and far between each other. Four, the lack of awareness and communication of positive traits brings about the abundance of awareness and communication of negative traits. Five, the character, psyche, or core - not the external parts - whether the whole is wholesome or separate, of ourself and another or a group is lucid or vivid in the eye of the beholder. Six, as our uniqueness is riveted and luminous internally and externally, similarities are also quite striking within and without. And, seven, when ego is compared to ego - as Atman, Higher Power, Love, God, etc. does not compare itself to itself - only disharmony blooms. It is proven that during any kind of relationship, whether it is in peace or conflict, being keen about another person’s strengths or what we appreciate and care about in another is immediately vivid, meaningful, and dominant. That is to say that no matter how much power and time there is of hate in the eye of the beholder, just a moment or even the consistency of love for another totally dismantles the dismay towards another and oneself. In closing, awakening is bound to happen with an open heart and mind. I feel silly that I have come to hate this person for the attachment of delusions and separation from Source. I will only continue to appreciate her strengths for now I know that small minds criticize the exterior, while a tiny, if not no mind at all, conflicts with the interior. So my awakening is realizing that as prevalent as prejudice, racism, discrimination, and stereotypes are about someone’s outsides in society, the true identifying belittlement, to say the least, is directed towards someone’s own soul.
