Who can we trust?

Whether it's politicians, celebs, activists, or influential leaders it seems that when I finally think there's someone for the light, there's always talk of them being "controlled opposition".  I don't want to play into the polarizing drama.  I know not to believe anyone will save us, we need to save ourselves.  But how? Will we ever have a leader emerge who is for the betterment of humanity? If it's on us, how do we take our power back to make real changes here on Earth?
