Universe is really expanding?
If universe is expanding why for centuries we found the stars in the same position?
if the universe is expanding will it take you the same time to came to earth as it will take to go back home?
or if it is static how do we get to this position in the universe?
At what velocity are you moving when travel to earth?
@davidmoscoso Space is curved. To explain it, Let's use the model of a balloon with dots on it. So 3D is mapped onto 2D. One dot is a galaxy. If we look around, we can observe only a small part of the Universe. What we observe is mostly neighbor dots on this balloon. The balloon is getting inflated, representing the expansion of the Universe. So, coming to answer your questions, yes, the positions of the 'fixed stars' stay the same and yes traveling back will last longer. Well this is the current scientific view, based on Einstein.
But advanced alien civilizations found out that linear traveling is not the way to go, even at near light speed. They make use of "Portals" to jump to another part of the universe.
At what speed they travel, i cannot answer. Although it's physical impossible i like to think faster than light, up to 10x but now I'm speculating assuming they learned to manipulate time. Or space/time. I watched too much Star Trek 😅
