I have heard this a few times before, even once directly from someone who was connected to the cabal. The sun is the source of all power, energy, and life itself. Superman gets his powers from the sun. But DON'T look at the sun! The aforementioned cabal member keep repeating some riddle about how he spies with his eye the sun. Something about the sun and the eye. I wasn't able to figure it out.
Definitely something worth thinking about.
