Soul switch question

Hello EA,

My question will probably sound a little crazy but I've been wondering for years.

Is it possible that a permanent soul switch happens in a human body? For example, a human is born with a soul (of course). At a very young age, that human is in a situation where they could die if nothing is done to physically save them. The human body is saved by "external forces" (read: aliens) but since the soul's mission/contract was over, a new soul takes its place and continues with the human life from that point forward. 

I'm referring to a switch approuved and performed with the help of the aliens. I'm not referring to "stealing a body" (I don't even know of such a thing exists) or anything "dark" or shady.
