Role of animals in Earth ascension
I can't reconcile the rising consciousness of humanity and Earth with the fact that animals continue to hunt and kill one another for food. The predator/prey relationship feels so savage to me and I can't make sense of it continuing to exist all around us. I think people generally are growing more compassionate, so how are we supposed to deal with nature's painful design? It hurts me to see one animal fall victim to another.
@marina_doktor I feel the same when I see a video of an animal being hunted down for food but in another thought predator and prey simulation balance the ecosystem.
@marina_doktor Out of curiosity, is your concern humans killing animals, animals killing other animals, or both?
@coreymatthews That’s a good question. Maybe it’s both! I hate the idea of killing animals for sport but I understand it’s advantageous for people surviving in the remote wilderness. As long as they’re respectful to the animal and don’t cause unnecessary suffering.
It’s just weird because as a kid I used to love watching nature shows and chalked up the lion killing the gazelle to the workings of the circle of life. But now, I can’t bear to watch anything related to animals dying. Shark Week is a definite no-go. Beautifully filmed planet videos that talk about baby birds or animals on steep hillsides falling to their deaths? Hard pass! I just don’t know where this all fits in with humanity’s raising consciousness. Or maybe it’s just me!
@lynp-2 I get that, for sure. But that eco balance is maintained painfully and unfairly. For example, if a mother of most any animal species dies while its young aren’t yet able to fend for themselves, the young will surely die. It feels so unfair to me that babies have to suffer. I imagine them being scared and lost and my heart just rips apart at the thought.
@marina_doktor Well I totally agree with you. Just thinking about it is really heartbreaking😔🙏
