Revision vs acceptance

Recently I’ve been hearing about the concept of revision - we can go into alpha state and imagine a past event happening differently and actually change the event from the past. I’ve heard some really fascinating stories from people changing a traumatic experience they had to something different. For me, for so long I was struggling to accept some hard things in my life, just ignoring/toxic positivity, lately I’ve been learning acceptance and unconditional love. Now hearing this I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it. Learn how to accept something then go back and change it? What about the nature of duality, I’m hearing some people say everyday at night they pop into alpha and revise the day with their imagination to be what they wanted it to be?! It sounds like people not accepting that there are challenges in life, or am I being cynical to think that lol I would love to hear what GFL or EA think about this?
