It's a lack of compliments, missing a person who caresses your hair, like a parent, missing loved ones. What does the perfect body do in its preprogrammed way? The skin wants to feel. The skin wants to improve feeling/sensing better. The hairs are in the way. Let's reject some hairs, purposely, just to be able to feel (litterally) better. This is no illness or lack if minerals, or poisoning. Alternative medicine is not always right although I practiced it myself, but at least is does no harm.  So, what is the solution, if you were able to understand this helicopter view standpoint and agree to the perfectness of the body that always strives to self healing, and even improving. The solution is to recognize the trauma, heal that or downplay it. Maybe there are several traumas, several missing loved ones. Or a spouse or boss who fail to give you compliments. Recognize and heal those traumas in your own way. Then the hairs will grow back. Okay you can help them with castor oil, rosemary oil, coconut oil, homeopathy. Massage and touching, caressing, is always good, as you understand now what the skin wants.

So this should be the main reason and you can fix it yourself.
