Life after the physical

Hello GFL, so I just lost my grandpa on Feb the 2. He was the glue to our family and married to my grandma for almost 70 years. I know souls are leaving early and I wonder if that’s the same for the boomer generation? He was healthy and it was really random. I feel like I have gotten messages from him already but how can I be sure they are coming from him? Belief? Trust? I just want to understand life after the physical more since this is my first big loss and maybe he went to the other side to help our family with that. Anyways, I hope this makes sense and thank you in advance. You all are amazing.
