Freemasons

I’ve been reading a lot about Freemasons and see that there is a connection to the Knights of Templar who were attacked/killed by the Roman Empire.

I’m also seeing that the Freemasons and the Illuminati joined forces at some point and have essential become one, even though most of its members have no idea what it actually is. 

The Freemasons also seem to have a lot of the  information from the “Mystery Schools” and a lot of the older belief systems of ancient wisdom. They use the all seeing eye, pyramid, as above so below.

I’ve seen a connection between Mary Magdalene and the Knights of Templar. That they were protecting her after Jesus’ death. 

My thoughts are that they were initially a good rebellious group that obtained sacred knowledge and wanted to protect it from the Roman Empire then over time became corrupt and integrated with the Illuminati
