Just wondering if the Galactic Federation has anything to offer on the Australian Referendum that is happing in Australia.
@neti What's the referendum about? I live in America and so I don't know about it. We don't have nationwide referendums in America. Some states have referendums, but we can't amend the national constitution by way of direct vote.
Some states in the US have implemented ranked-choice voting in recent years. My understanding is that Australia uses ranked-choice voting in their national elections. I like ranked-choice voting because it prevents vote-splitting.
If there's a Galactic Federation, I wonder if they follow politics on Earth and what their political opinions might be. 🙂

I am not political nor do I watch main stream news. But lately I started noticing these 'YES' signs all over the place so when a 24 page referendum booklet and 'voting is compulsory' I thought I better see what was being asked of me.
The notion being; To alter the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
Vote Yes/No
To say I'm not shocked would be a lie, I already thought they did have a voice, for we do have indigenous in parliament. The government apologised and well I live in a community with many cultures and the local peoples are listened to, honoured and family.
The booklet has included 10 reasons, why you would vote yes and 10 reason why you should not.
The case for voting no, includes statements like It's risky, unknown, divisive, this voice is legally risky, it divides us, it won't help Indigenous Australians, no issue is beyond it's scope, it risks delays and dysfunction, it opens the door for activists, it will be costly and bureaucratic, this voice will be permanent, there are better ways forward, and at the end of the (brain washing), the decision is yours.
I'm feeling a little uneasy about the whole way it's presented and opens the door to a big split.
Would love to hear if there is an underlying agenda.
