The other day I asked my Higher Self if it is in my contracts for a certain thing to happen, and got a yes. When I asked if it would be in my best and highest good, I got a no. That surprised and confused me somewhat, and I hope EA will provide her perspective on why that would be. Do our contracts contain many potential possibilities, and then as we take a certain route through life, our Higher Self sees that some of those are better not actualised after all?
If I could offer my two cents
The other day I asked my Higher Self if it is in my contracts for a certain thing to happen, and got a yes. When I asked if it would be in my best and highest good, I got a no.
This may suggest that you have certain cords / attachments that are binding you to a place / person / object.
These attachments form a contract where "wants" become confused with "needs" and the outcome is not in line with your highest good.
A contract is not just the ones created before we incarnate.
We create new contracts every day with how / how / what we interact with.
For when we bind to phenomena, a contract is forged.
When I engage in my higher mind, I do so at a granular level.
I place my heart / mind in every engagement and every decision in my life.
As language is a limiting communication form, I find that words alone create confusion.
Instead I use colour, image and thought to determine how / why / who I want in my life.
When faced with a decision, I visualise my engagement in that activity / person / thing before I decide.
I ask what does my higher self, want for this human form?
I then use colour; Red = No, Green = Yes, Orange = Not Now
I surround the visualisation with each colour – while verbalising the question in my mind.
You will notice an energetic change around your preferred coloured visualisation.
Where one of those choices feel the most spacious and energised.
For that choice is the direction from your highest mind.
From this, you chart your life with your highest mind always engaged.
You will begin to recognise that life is a labyrinth and visualisation becomes a “light language”, providing a unique form of communication with your heart / mind.
New unchartered paths become open to you and your higher mind can now directly commune with you through visualisation – directing you onto paths you may not have considered or even thought of.
Where the cords / attachments of the old mind cease to bind and the forging of new cords / attachments / contracts that are in line with your highest good.

thank you for the detailed response. I think you could be onto something there, because yesterday I tried asking my Higher Self about who made this contract between me and this other person, and I got that it was not made between our Higher Selves but between our Lower Selves. We definitely did not consciously make any such contract in this life, but we do have a strong past life connection, so I guess there are still attachments left. I do cut cords with people every now and then though.
I do have to be very careful how I formulate my questions, as my Higher Self seems to take them literally, which is not always what I mean. So maybe I should try your visualisation technique in certain cases.
