Painkillers and Death
Hey EA and beautiful members,
do we in any way manipulate our death experience in a negative way in middle/longterm if we use painkillers/sedatives? I know that there are so many different ways to die and if one suffers a long way its probably different, but the same as birth - I personally resonate with natural birth and I didn't use any medication at my second but I had a c-section with my first. Could I say that there were more issues with my firstborn, yes, but u always have to see the whole picture, so I wonder if it's so linear in general?
A friend of mine who is deep into buddhism told me not ever to take anything during the death experience but do u know when it really starts (I guess yes if it is comparable to a birth experience *lol*) and I guess it is harder in our clinical system at this time...
And extra question
How can you best prepare for the death experience in general in ur opinion (meditating, luzid dreaming, drugs?)
Thank u
🙂
If you practice yoga there is a pose Called shavashana (corps pose). Every class ends with this pose, you're supposed not to move and just feel. It is meant to practice the dying process, but in the western world we use this pose to practice meditation. Next time you go to yoga class, just imagen during shavashana, that you are dying, forgiving yourself for everything, come clean with everyone around you, thank your body and leave. The question of drugs becomes irrelevant then, because with or without, you are in control.
