How do I explain bug bites to my 12-month-old?
Of course, I could give the physiological explanation. Something like, “You have bug bites! While we were outside some bugs tasted you and now the spots are irritated. It itches but don’t scratch, they will heal soon.”
And that’s fine enough, but now that I am aware of how physical stuff is just an expression of higher dimensional events, I feel like there is a simpler way.
Living in Florida, bug bites are a year round annoyance. I guess I developed my own view on things as “Gosh darn these itch! But bugs are part of a healthy eco system, and everybody’s got to eat.” which seems a bit lacking now that I am raising a luminous, baby human. What is the most enlightened reaction when she looks at me like “Mama, what is this?”?
I welcome your responses! Just curious if any parents have also run into this.
@turinger When EA moved into her then new house in Ontario, she also was welcomed with bug bites, she told us in a video. Then she tuned into them. It turned out to be a way to welcome her into their environment, their territory. If you show them gratitude for that, they will bite much less. Just communicate with them, with the swarm as a whole. The swarm has consciousness and intelligence.

@turinger Another perspective is the itchy places have a purpose: to become more and more aware of your body. And the feelings of itch. E.g. it is nice to scratch yourself. Or, too much and it hurts. The child that comes from heaven need to accustom to earth things, "arriving" into the body.
Bring it positive: our blood tastes so good, we can easily donate a few tiny tiny drops to those lovely insects. They will be so grateful. You spread your love over the world, because your love is inside that blood.
For you: i always consider it as free acupuncture. They bite maybe at a dozen points, but only three of them become itchy and red. Those are the acupuncture points and it serves us to balance our energy flow. For free! The more 'dots', the more you were in need to be balanced.
