Higher Purpose for Experiencing Cults

Hi EA! I am so curious as to what the higher purpose is as to why certain souls choose to contract experiencing cults (For example, Scientology). I am aware of learning boundaries and healthily identifying your abusers from experiencing the wound of rejection surrounding extreme religious organizations, but wondering what perspective(s) you hold around this topic?
