Contracts and Free will.

I hear a lot about how we have contracted this and contracted that into our lives, even reptilians attacking us. Where does that end and free will start? Are we a victim of our contracts? Can we change or prevent them, or will certain things happen no matter what we do? Good or bad? If our vibrations changes before something is supposed to happen, will that not change the event?
