i know that our spirit guides are technically “ourselves”
in the movie the butterfly effect the main character frequently blacks out and finds out later during those black out moments hes coming back to the past and re writes the script. and almost the same as the movie interstellar the dad is dropping hints to his daughter and himself from the 5th dimension. so my question is, is this similar to us being our own spirit guides or “higher self”

greetings estran1988, we are not our own spirit guides the way you asked in your question. where we come from originally, the spirit, is a mass of energy (a huge consciousness/soul) and a gathering place where many younger souls (our human higher selves) get and work together in order to grow. think of spirit as a classroom where souls gather to simulate and experience different scenarios together. the purpose of all that is to raise our love and wisdom. when we raise enough, we will let go of the current spirit that we are a part of and will join another higher spirit (gathering place) that match our new level and energy. spirit guides are our classmates, trying to help us achieve our goals as we too will/have done that for them as well.
