Inner Child : How would you describe your inner child? What are some of the personality traits or qualities that you associate with that part of yourself?
How would you describe your inner child? What are some of the personality traits or qualities that you associate with that part of yourself?
This is a really good question. I don't have an answer but I do have some reflection. One thing is that in music when I hear songs about children I tend to tear up. One day last year I meditated on this seeking an answer as to why my human is emotionally sensitive to songs about children. The answer I got is that I am mourning the loss of the child in me once I became SO serious as an adult with responsibilities and a huge ego. Second thing is that I'm actually able to see my #9 grandchild grow. I've been so busy working a career that #1-8 are all so seldom seen by me we don't actually have a relationship. I've told my 1 year old granddaughter (don't worry, she's brilliant and I'm sure she understands me) that I need her to teach me how to play again and help me reconnect with my inner child. I'm counting on her. Getting a bit teary now that I'm thinking on it and also excited that I can be a child again very soon with my youngest grandchildren.
@stevepariseau Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this topic🙌
Connecting to my inner child is how I like to go through life these days! My inner child believes in limitless possibilities and knows no fear. His imagination has no boundaries. My inner child believes there is a good person inside of everyone, so I can love everyone. The only perceived downfall of this mentality sometimes, is seeing what reality is for other people. If they are not on the same page as you, it can cause them to worry and be confused.
