In navigating the ego, what practices have helped you maintain balance and authenticity on your journey?
Ego is the shadow of our ancestral song lines bound to our past.
If we use emotion or reason to inform our choice;
are we not still in the grasp of ego’s shadow?
Emotion being our reactive self (subject) that is defined by our past experiences of;
what we like, dislike or are indifferent toward phenomenon (object).
Reason being our dialectic self (subject) that is defined by our past experiences of;
what are the pros, cons or neutral thoughts toward phenomenon (object).
By being dependant on these two brain functions, are we not trapped in endless loops of our past?
And it is in this past, that our ego reigns supreme.
The plane of demonstration is an inert world, waiting for input to act in accordance with whatever self we indulge or receive power from.
As we walk along the labyrinth of our mind, ask our highest self whether to embrace with yes (green), reject with no (red) or wait for the right time (amber) to ask again.
The more we align our choices in harmony with our highest self, the more our highest self can influence and direct our journey.
And through this evolution, our ego is transformed from being defined by our ancestral past to being shaped by our infinite multi-dimensional future selves.
