I’m currently being faced with family members who are deeply religious. I began my awakening in 2020 and have found enlightenment and a deeper understanding of god. My family thinks crystals are the devil, people are born of sin and anything that’s not of the “church” isn’t god. It’s so frustrating because they think I’m in need of help when I truly am just healing and awakened. Them having this perception of me is really taking a toll on me mentally. They pray for me like they think I’m evil or something. It’s so hard to not care and shake their perceptions.
How do we deal with family members who are so deeply religiously programmed? How do we handle the trauma/negativity they are projecting towards spirituality?
@emilyyoung101 I understand you. I didn't wake up until I was 52, & I still understand you. It took about 8 months for me. I sat and listened. I didn't argue. It was hard. I mean *HARD*. I practiced transmuting the feelings of anxiety, rage, abandonment, defiance, fear, etc into unconditional love. Let me tell you. Hard. I radiated love stronger & stronger every time they talked (my dad & a very distant brother) I pictured in my mind photos of peaceful protesters from the time of the Vietnam War that stood with flowers outstretched against a sea of vitriol. I kept that image in my mind. I knew better than to try & argue. We can't win these kinds of arguments. A person has to see for themselves. ... So I kept radiating love & grace no matter what. I let my anger out when I knew neither of them could hear. I had to show them the path I was on. Not tell them. But guess what? Showing them wasn't what eventually worked. I truly believe the high frequency I carried with me grew. It was stronger around them out of habit. Bc I was talking a bit of bad about them outside of their space(s). So I actually started feeling brighter around them out of habit. And it became contagious.
No. The aren't awake yet. But they are much more lovely. And we just don't talk about spirituality or religion.
My family is very small, and we are all old & tired. That, combined with no 2 families being alike means that this is just a tale of perspective and one of complete support. Remember to spend time with supportive friends. Do activities with your family that take concentration that could minimize conversation. Talk about them and their day a LOT. A lot! People love to feel important & reminding them that they are, by being interested in their day, can break down barriers. Remembering their reasoning is out of love is something to keep in mind, too).

I do want to add here, there's an old book I'm listening to on audible again that isn't meant to be spiritual, but actually is, that may help here. You'll want to get the updated version, bc it's from 1931, but the little stories to drive home the points are part of its beauty (to me, at least). How to Win Friends & Influence People, Dale Carnegie. It teaches things we all know, but we know it bc of this guys research. Sure, others have written similar books. You may find a different author suits your soul better! I just think this is such a tough situation, you could use more than a few sources of advice. Definitely NOT just mine! I Love God. I have the best relationship with him ever. I can probably help you with your parents. I'm don't know if I'm religious or not.., but Billy Carson yelled at me for 2 minutes and 30 seconds for being a "Bible banger" on his YouTube live the other day. It was nauseating for me to hear someone define God as he did.
I can offer you the a greater understanding into your parents ta psyche.

With Ever Single One of ever one of all your replies it becomes concretely evident that none of you westerners will be Ascending, which unfortunately is the choice all of you have rigidly chosen to make.
This is GODS HOUSE and He is Coming Forward in the BIGFEST Of Ways. God is the ONLY One that Loves you All Unconditionally. Miss this entire World and everyone unfortunately on it has been severely separated and put into isolation cages. The primary Mechanism that acts as the tangible isolation chambers that EVERYONE in the west encageded themselves in is texting and emailing and reducing correspondence and communication to "watching YouTube videos"
