Experience: sleep paralysis vs being frozen by Them
I had an experience this morning at around 4:40 a.m.
I was having a strange but ordinary dream when at some point, an object appeared in my dream and started kind of "pulsing" or something. As I was looking at this object I thought, "They're coming". A split second later, I opened my eyes, fully awaken in my bed but I was frozen. My head was facing towards my window and I could see my boyfriend sleeping beside me. I could only move my eyes. I moved them to observe the room and try to get a sight of any being that was most probably there but I couldn't see anything. The way my head was angled, I couldn't see my bed side (on my left). I heard a tone in my right ear. That tone didn't come from the environment and it wasn't in my head either: it was only in my right ear. At some point, I started to feel a little bit uncomfortable. Not because I was frozen or that there was probably at least one being in my room doing something to me (I mean, I highly doubt that they come into people's room and freeze them just for fun) but because I couldn't see what was going on or who was there. At that point, my eyes started to close by themselves and I knew that they were doing this because I wasn't sleepy at all. I tried to resist but to no avail. My eyes closed but only to reopen the next second (or so it seemed). I was still in my bed, same position, my boyfriend snoring beside me and my cat on my stomach purring like a truck and I could feel the remnants of "the frozen state" fade away.
Observation 1: Absence of sounds
During this experience, there was no sounds at all, except for the tone in my right ear. My bedroom window was open and I live near a forest so the sounds of nature are omnipresent 24/7. It was silent. My boyfriend snores, I couldn't hear him. There were NO sounds except for the tone.
Observation 2: The knowing
It is the very first time in my life that I "know they're coming". I've never experienced that knowing before. I find that very exciting.
Observation 3: Fully awake
It is the first time I'm fully awake during a "freezing" experience. I must mention here that it's the 2nd time I experience that kind of "freezing" consciously but the first time (around February or March of this year), I remained in a half dream-state the entire time. This morning, I was fully awake and aware. This is also very exciting.
Observation 4: Super calm
I felt no fear at all. I was super calm and very alert. I was observing. I started feeling uneasy by the end of the experience because of the absence of sounds and because I didn't know why I was frozen or how long it would last (and I couldn't see any being).
Observation 5: Sleep paralysis vs being "frozen by Them"
I've been a regular experiencer of sleep paralysis for the past 30 years. I know what it feels like. My muscles always feel kind of tense or as if I'd stuck my fingers in an electrical outlet and I always hear a roaring sound in my ears. But being "frozen" by Them feels very different. There's no tension in the body and no roaring sound in the ears. It's a very peaceful state for the body. It a complete absence of tension.
Observation 6: "sigh*
When I opened my eyes while frozen, the only thing I said in my mind was "Salut" ("Hi"). Why on Earth can't I find something more intelligent to say? Last time, I said "Allo" ("Hello"). UGH! Oh well, at least I'm greeting them. lol! But I wish I'd think of asking a question or something. Anyways... lol
I couldn't wait to share this experience.
Peace be with you!
