Energy increase hack
Hi all! I know a number of us are struggling with exhaustion, depression, etc on this journey so thought I'd share a hack I learned recently for increasing one's energy levels. It is specifically targeted at increasing the number and size of mitochondria in our cells and it's SUPER simple! When you're out on a walk, periodically exhale most of your breath and then hold until you feel like you really need to breathe again. Count your steps and see how many you can get up to. Do this 4-5 times per walk. I can usually get in 30-50 steps before I need to breathe again and this appears to be increasing a bit since I started a couple weeks back (a good sign that it's working!)
The "science-y" term for this it Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT) and it's something that many athletes practice but not something that's very well known in the Gen Pop.
Curious to hear from those who give this a try and how it goes for you!
I will have to try this, thank you for sharing.curious because lately I seem to have unlimited energy and I'm probably one of the few people who smoke weed that doesn't diminish my energy
@kristy_anstett Thank you for sharing. I would love to try this too😊
I need to try, literally sitting here about to fall asleep at work 🙂
@kristy_anstett thx for reminding, i made a video about that a while ago, i called it a soft version of the wim hof breath, one that is applayable for everyone (also older peoples) , and can be integrated in normal life. interesting to read about it from that perspective, didnt know it has a name etc.
