Hi. I have a question. Lately, I felt an inner push to buy different crystals. It's very new to me, I've never worked with crystals before. I practice Reiki level 2. This morning, I took the time to give Reiki to all my crystals using the Reiki symbols as well. I did this for each and every one of them, one by one. As I was doing this, I noticed that some of my crystals had things to tell me. I received different images from some of them. One "told me" to place it on my bedstand, another "told me" to use it during my meditations, etc.
I have three amethysts. One of them really connected to me and "asked me" to place it on my heart chakra. So when I was done giving Reiki to my other crystals, I found a way to place it on my heart chakra in a way that I could keep going on with my day. At some point during the day, I felt a tingling that let me know that it was now time to remove the amethyst. When I removed it, I noticed that it had become darker, and I mean... the white-transparent part of it litterally has a dark cloud inside.
I panicked a little and I did a google search to try an understand what was going on. I read somewhere that it can mean that my crystal is overworked or absorbed too much negative energy. In my case, I think it's both. It took at least 3 or 4 hours before the crystal asked me to remove it. I work a lot with negative energy too. I basically transmute negative energy into clean energy on a daily basis and even if it doesn't affect me per se, I guess it leaves traces inside of me. And I wonder if the amethyst wanted to help me and do some cleansing.
Now I need help because I want to help my amethyst to go back to normal and be cleansed of this negativity. My crystals are sentient beings, I know it for a fact and I really, really care for them and love them. But I feel a little bit lost and my lack of knowledge about this kind of situations bring tears to my eyes.
Can someone tell me what I should do to help my amethyst? Please!

When I saw that my crystal had turned dark, I picked it up in my hands and went downstairs. While I was walking I received an image of my amethyst on a specific windowsill in my house and I also saw the Moonlight. This amethyst has a very relaxed energy and I felt like it was saying, "Yo! Chillax, child! This is nothing to be worried about. Put me on your windowsill and let me bathe in the moonlight and it's all gonna be alright!". I read your link after that and was very surprised by the instant validation.
Another thing that I read is that you can let a clear Quartz crystal touch your other crystal to help with the cleanse. Again, it made me smile. I store my crystals in two boxes and each box has several containers to keep the different types of crystals separate (so they don't mix). I have two clear quartz crystals, they've been given to me by my Reiki teacher. When I picked one of them to give it Reiki this morning, it "told me" not to keep them together in the same box but put one of them in one box and the other in the other box and that this way they could help keep the energy clean in each box. I decided to call them my little soldiers. They were already filled with Reiki energy so I didn't need to hold them for too long.
I placed one of the quartz with my amethyst, the one that shares the same box. They're on my windowsill now and they "told me" to not worry, because fear and worry would defeat the purpose of the work my amethyst did today. All the instant validation that I got from the link you shared with me put my mind at ease. My crystals have been around for probably thousands of years and they know what they need. So I'll trust them.
It makes me laugh because I feel like a worried parent, but at the same time I feel that my crystals are very wise teachers. I feel blessed. This is all very unexpected to me but it feels right. Rocks and crystals have always reached out to me since I was a very small child. I used to pick up rocks everywhere I went and bring them back home with me. One day, my parents told me to get rid of them and please stop picking up rocks! I didn't listen and hid them in one of my drawers... until the drawer broke open. LOL! Rocks have always felt very strong and powerful to me. I guess all that is currently happening is not a coincidence.
@rainyangel One of my Tiger's Eye had a sad feel to it when I picked it up to give it Reiki. It showed me a very beautiful rock formation and I understood that it was where it came from but that it doesn't exist anymore because humans broke it appart. I didn't expect that. I didn't know rocks could be sad. I let it share its sadness with me and told it that I know humans are hurting Mother Gaia a lot and that it's sometimes very hard to accept. But, at the same time, it's not all negative because if this rock formation wouldn't have been broken, then I would have never had the opportunity to share this moment with it. And, moving forward, we can now work together to help Mother Gaia to the best of our abilities and help raise the frequency on the planet so that one day, humans won't feel the need to break the mineral kingdom, or any other kingdom, anymore. I held it until I felt the sadness leave and filled it with Reiki energy.
It's an eye opener for me.
I haven't named the amethyst yet. I will wait to see if a name comes to mind, but I will not name it myself. If no name comes, it's okay too. I already know its energy and its distinctive form, so a name is not really necessary. I'll see how it goes.
To feel the energy (of a rock or anything else) you really simply need to be open. Every time you think "I'm not very good at meditation or energy work", stop right there and let go of this limiting thought. Instead, make an affirmation: I am open to energy, I allow myself to listen to what it wants to tell me". Do not focus on what you think you lack, because that's what you will create. Focus on being open. Simply open. "I am open to high frequency energy" and see where it leads you. I still need to repeat this to myself several times a day. It's so easy to think in terms of limitations (in my opinion). We must remind ourselves constantly that we are limitless and we already know how to feel and understand energy. We ARE energy. Trust yourself.
