New Year’s Eve, 1999 into 2000
The crowd goes wild for the Year 2000! The intense cheers of excitement are unbelievable. I thought I would share this with you all. I don’t know about y’all but I get very emotional every time I watch this. The people aren’t just saying goodbye to 1000 and quite frankly 999 and before, but they or we were welcoming a whole new start, a fresh start. Of course that comes with each New Year, but going into 2000 was extremely special and unique. I can only imagine the feeling of going into the year 3000. Anyways, the video is very emotional for me because of what happens in 2001. It just totally ruins the uplifting energy and dream of a fresh start. It seems like the powers that were always come up with something for each new year. It’s gut wrenching sad, wholeheartedly exhausting, and otherworldly infuriating. But this video is just a reminder of our innocent welcome for the new millennium or milestone. Don’t forget to give someone a hug!
